Process

I applied online for an Automation Test Engineer position in Richmond, VA in July 2017.

The entire interview process took more than four weeks. It was smooth; the recruiter I spoke with was very sweet and kind, and always updated me with the results as soon as possible.

There were a total of four rounds:

  • The first was a phone call from the recruiter asking about my previous experience.
  • Then came the online assessment part. It should be easy if you practice it well, and you need to score an average to pass.
  • After that was a technical phone interview with the hiring manager and team lead. They asked questions mostly related to my previous experience.
  • After that, I was called for an on-site, face-to-face interview. They took care of my arrangements very well, with no complaints. They even prepped me for the interview by providing a set of questions beforehand.

On the "Power Day," there were four rounds: two job fit interviews and two behavioral interviews.

Questions were as expected, and the interview panel was very warm and welcoming. From my perspective, I did well in all the rounds but unfortunately did not get the offer.

Questions

The situational round in a job fit interview is important. I was given a scenario and asked to come up with an automation framework and testing strategy.
