Cons

Favoritism.

Tech company, but no respect for tech engineers.

Top-down thinking, little space for innovation because most of the time is spent making decks for VPs and above for their executive meetings. The remaining time is spent solving tech versus product politics.

The performance management process needs so much improvement in terms of stack ranking associates per their strengths and not because they are favorites of the "D+" community.

Advice to Management

Truly invest in setting up a bottom-up culture that enables and empowers tech engineers to be creative and innovative.

VP+ should move out of the way of Distinguished Engineers who enable the design of tech-driven architecture.
