- Very team-dependent; good WLB when you’re not on call.
- Management will put on a show and PIP you for “influence” and “communication” even though you’re already doing your best.
- Medical issue? You’ll be PIPed the next review cycle, no matter what your medical issue is. No compassion or empathy.
- On-call shifts, long hours troubleshooting with no reward. Never got promoted in the time I was there and barely got any raises every year.
Don’t PIP your employees with the current system. It’s toxic and wrong.
