Pros
  • Solid pay for a non-tech company.
  • Relaxed atmosphere, based on the team.
  • Good 401k match.
Cons
  • Stack-ranking bi-annually with 8-15% marked as below-strong, which is now an automatic PIP regardless of tenure.

  • Leadership does not listen to concerns and will continue to spew nonsense on priorities and goals they've created to push their own influence.

  • Large influx of leadership that are ex-Amazon, bringing over the same toxic culture.

  • Code often rewritten only to provide substance for performance reviews.

Advice to Management

Listen to the outcry against the dated system of stack-ranking. This culture breeds the nature of competing against your team to not be the one PIPed, rather than focusing on the quality of code.
