Lots of support to accomplish tasks. Moderately competitive benefits, salary, etc. Folks mostly are friendly.
The only way to advance is to play politics. There are no measurable KPIs for individual performance, and you are at the mercy of whoever is on your calibration panel to judge the work you've done. You might have focused on a competency, but then you find out that even though that competency was listed as important, the calibration panel wants different criteria. Very frustrating, and the reason I left.
Rework the PM process. It is so subjective that you will inherently upset 50% of the folks who go through the process.
