Pros

Executive leadership is great for the most part. Excellent benefits, generous fringe benefits, flex hours, and work from home. Excellent technology, high bar for talent. Most folks are super smart, but every village has its idiot.

Cons

Stack-ranked performance system. It's difficult to get promoted. Annual raises do not keep up with inflation, so you need to negotiate hard up front. Middle management is disengaged and often just looking for their next promotion. Open office floor plans, which can be difficult if you're introverted.

Advice to Management

Set a higher bar for your middle management.

Stack ranking performance management has to go. It encourages associates to only seek out high-visibility work and hoard valuable information instead of sharing and collaborating.

Open office floor plans aren't for everyone. Do a better job of creating quiet spaces.

Annual raises should never be below inflation.
