Generally a great place, but leadership fails at critical times

Pros

Great work-life balance.

Many teams have ample opportunity to learn and try new skills. Internal moves can help grow careers.

Cons

My biggest issue with Capital One is the general lack of consistent support from leadership.

Capital One likes to act like they are a forerunner in being open and supportive of causes such as diversity in the workplace and being pro-LGBTQ+; however, many times when Capital One has the opportunity to be vocal and supportive of certain groups, they choose not to or only be supportive in a performative way.

I generally feel that Capital One lacks any real action in supporting ALL of their employees and only chooses the causes that will save them face and improve their bottom line.

Advice to Management

Stop gumming up the processes for moving internally and making it difficult to change teams for a better fit. Start showing real actions and support for all employees, regardless of the public's position.
