Pros
  • Decent pay.
  • Good benefits.
  • Good opportunity to learn AWS and cloud technology.
  • Depending on the team you get hired for, some good software engineering opportunities.
Cons

Mandatory return to office, 3 days per week (same con as many other companies recently).

The leadership isn't taking into consideration the massive time and financial cost this entails for many employees who may live in highly traffic-congested areas, especially considering we were given suppressed raises after a year of record-high inflation.

Costs include:

  • Time
  • Gas
  • Tolls
  • Increased mileage
  • Increased car insurance rates
  • Parking (depending on the office location)
  • Stack-ranking performance review process is not conducted fairly in some cases.
  • Questionable honesty in hiring.

When I was hired, I was told half-truths about what I would be doing and what the situation was on the team. Definitely, a lot of important information was left out.
