Pros

Team dependent, but coworkers are good. Compensation is slightly better than average.

Cons

PIP culture. Every 6 months. Management and leads have to spend a month prior planning.

Most people want to leave or are coasting to PIP to get severance.

Some products are obfuscated and not clear.

Advice to Management

At least move performance management to once per year. Every six months is a huge waste of time, and piping undeserving engineers based on arbitrary moving goalposts is immoral. The amount of tech debt and churn makes working here difficult, even with smart and capable engineers who are providing for their families.
