Pros
  • Fantastic, intelligent engineers
  • Solid benefits
  • Great, immediate leadership
Cons
  • Poor leadership and disconnect as you go further up the management chain.
  • Seems to be falling behind in forcing a return to office, and chasing/forcing out people they hired remotely during the pandemic.
  • Using "Quiet Firing/Layoff" practices to quietly downsize, while avoiding "layoffs" being publicized.
Advice to Management

Higher-level management needs to connect more with the people further down the chain. I don't mean get to know them personally, necessarily, but at least have some understanding of what they do. Blindly making business decisions based on arbitrary stats that they don't understand or know the origin of is not going to keep working. There becomes more and more of a disconnect between the people at the top of the management hierarchy and the employees at the bottom of the chain.
