Capital One is like the minor leagues for college grads. It's a great place to get paid and learn, then bail. The best TDPs quit and join fang; the worst stay and become part of the problem.
Beyond the TDP program, Capital One is not a good place for engineers. It is all about politics and your brand when it comes to the stack ranking (aka required to fire a certain percent, and promotions only possible if your peers are worse than you – no bigger pie, just growth at the expense of others). As to being a “tech company” – what a joke.
I think management is the problem. That and stack ranking based off politics and not technical ability.
