Interesting work, but a toxic year-end review process
Work is interesting, and Capital One always seems to try new things.
Stack ranking is awful here. Even if you meet your goals established from mid-year reviews, by the time year-end comes, leadership will move the goalposts and say you need to do more. They're constantly comparing you against your peers.
Ditch the stack ranking. Tons of engineers talk about leaving and not wanting to give their best because they don't feel like their work is appreciated.
