Pros

Great projects, as long as you are a step ahead of your projects, you should be okay. Great benefits, food everywhere.

Cons

If you are on a PIP, regardless if it’s your fault or not, this is common as anyone can get put on a PIP. In a perfect world, if you decide to leave the company, keep in mind that you are not welcomed back. It took me 5 years to figure this out, and half the recruiters did not even know until I called HR about it. They made it clear that you are not eligible for rehire. Keep in mind I spent 4-5 years interviewing for new roles, getting to the 4-hour interview, to later get rejected without reasoning.

Advice to Management

Educate your direct reports about how Capital One works so they can anticipate what may come. A PIP limits you from moving from team to team, and while you are on a PIP, leadership will change a few times.
