Pros

Despite being just an intern, I'm given plenty of freedom in how I write my code and what I work with. There's also plenty of people around who are friendly and willing to help me learn anything I don't understand.

Cons

In my case, I found that there was a lack of precise direction at the start. I was given instructions on what I should make, but complete freedom in how I do it. While some may enjoy this, as a new intern, this was fairly overwhelming at first.

Advice to Management

The tools used to manage workflow (i.e., JIRA) are used often, but not made mandatory or even enforced in any way. As a result, depending on the team you work on, the methodology may differ greatly. More emphasis on uniform agile support would be great.
