Pros

Positive environment. Generally supportive culture. Fairly well-run company. Ability to move freely within the organization.

Cons

The company appears to have hired and promoted extremely poorly below the executive team level. A culture that depends on and requires consensus gets overwhelmed by consensus, breeding poor products and services and creating clichés and provincialism that undermines the history of what grew the company. It feels like there is zero accountability for those who spend the abundance of time insulating themselves through politics.

Advice to Management

Rethink hiring at the senior levels. Review how senior executives, who are candidates for high-visibility roles, have performed at previous employers. De-risking hires doesn't mean hiring just garden-variety Amazon project managers masquerading as visionaries and leaders.
