Process

The interview process at Carta involved:

  • A discussion with a recruiter (high-level).
  • A take-home assignment, a practical problem similar to the work Carta does.
  • Two technical interviews: one focused on design, and another as a follow-up on the take-home assignment.
  • Three non-technical interviews, covering a mix of product management and soft skills.

Carta offers a mix of good and bad. In some ways, the process is well-structured. However, at times, the interviewers were strangely unprofessional and clearly lacked experience conducting interviews, presenting a peculiar demeanor. Regarding the decision, I received a call stating I had performed wonderfully throughout, but with some vague criticisms about the design aspects of my solutions. It was a truly unusual experience.

Questions
