eShares has problems in several aspects of their culture. Most notably, their no-feedback policy. I saw many talented people get let go because their managers would not provide them guidance into how they can add value to the firm. This created an odd environment where managers were not engaged in what their employees were doing. Upper management is incredibly cliquish, and blatant favoritism runs rampant.
Push managers to be more active in their roles rather than have them solely as performance assessors.
