Process

The first stage was a phone screen with someone from HR. It was a general personality and background check, although they did ask a couple of basic technical questions.

The second stage was a phone interview with someone from the QA department. This was mainly a discussion about my background, with questions about my CV and my current job.

The third stage was a remote pairing exercise with two lead QAs. I was asked to complete a couple of coding exercises, and I was allowed to use my preferred language, even though it was not the language used in the role.

The final stage was in the office, where I had three rounds of interviews:

  1. With two more QAs.
  2. With a product owner.
  3. With the VP of QA.

These interviews were similar to the previous ones, focusing on my experience.

Throughout the process, I emailed with the HR person to organize each stage. They invited me to provide feedback after each interview. After the final interviews, I had a phone call with them to receive positive and negative feedback from the interviewers. I felt this level of feedback would have been provided regardless of whether I received a job offer.

Questions

A few questions about APIs, including what specific response codes mean.
