This was one of the worst experiences in recent memory.
I had an initial interview with two team members. I was told that it went very well and that the next stage was a take-home test.
Initially, I was sent the wrong test. It was only after I pointed out that the test had nothing to do with front-end development that the correct one was sent.
After completing the test, which required around 4 hours of work, I was then sent an incredibly impersonal email the next day to say that the role had been filled.
I sent a reply complaining that it was terrible to ask people to do technical tests and not give them any feedback or a further chance in the process.
I received an apology that said the email shouldn't have been sent to me and that they were reviewing my test and considering me for another role.
Since then, I have been ghosted, with no feedback for the test and no updates on my application.
What is a recent technical achievement you were proud of?
