Process

I was referred by an employee, and I already know about the hiring manager through a connection. I was directly asked to come for an in-person interview after a discussion with the recruiter.

I met with three people, including the hiring manager. The first two meetings were more like discussions. The third was with the team lead. It went well initially, but then I was asked to write code for a simple problem. However, I wasn't prepared and was stumped.

I could sense that it didn't go well. I also made some mistakes, like not explaining my thought process.

Questions

Here are the questions:

  1. How will you run a shell script on a remote server?
  2. Different SQL ways of getting time spent info from call lag data (lead-lag query).
  3. Data modeling for high-volume clickstream data.
  4. Write a program to find the value for the given key from a file containing key-value pairs.
