The HR person called for an initial phone screen, and I immediately got the impression that she was simply trying to get through the call. Perhaps she was just new.

At one point, she asked about my experience with VMWare. By the tone in her voice, she seemed to anticipate that this would be a "gotcha!" type question. I told her that I had six years of extensive VMWare experience, and she replied with a skeptical "Hmmmmm."

This implied to me that she hadn't even read my resume, because if she had, this information would have been immediately obvious.

There was nothing about the position that sounded different from what I am currently doing. However, the next day, I received an email stating that I would not receive a follow-up call. It was a waste of my time to take this call.
