Discussions with recruiters were about the only positive part of this process. Everyone from management/directors to the engineers was very rude. I would not have worked here even if I had received an offer.

Pros: - Dog-friendly workplace
- No "firing right before vest" for employees receiving equity
- Deadlines are reasonable
Cons: - Too many engineers on "the next big thing" getting all of the praise.
- Value = supply / demand ratio: someone on a one-person project is more valuable than someone on a 5-person team project.
- Lot of emphasis on capitalizable hours, questionable benefit to doing this, but not too bad.
- Promotions based on review boards exacerbate the above, emphasizing high-visibility projects.

Pros: Unlimited time off. Managers I've had respected this.
Cool dog park in the office. Nice office generally.
Cons: Terrible upper management. Incompetent and nepotistic at best, malicious at worst.
At worst, blatant favoritism and open threats to your job if you don't bend the knee. If you get a good manager, they either can't stand it and leave, burn out and leave, or are let go. So you will eventually end up with a bad manager.
