The interview process is fine. I rated it as difficult because the time consumption to simply get a job is a bit excessive. If you already have a job and are looking to transition into this role, it's hard to manage preparing, working, and performing well in the interviews. The process included a phone screen, a HackerRank coding second round, and then four back-to-back hour-long interviews. That's a total of six interviews for one company. I did like the first and second rounds, but for the third round to not just be a "meet the team and see if you are a good culture fit" type of interview blows my mind. Having essentially four technical rounds out of six is quite absurd.
Additionally, if they find someone they like midway through the process, they will cancel your final interview, and you won't even have a chance to get on the team. This means you waste weeks prepping only to receive a call that the position has already been filled. There was a lot of strange, seemingly ill-considered aspects related to this interview process.
However, everyone during the process from the company was cool, which makes the experience a bit disappointing.
