I was contacted by the recruiter for a Software Engineer II position for an initial screening round. The screening round involved a current project description and object-oriented programming. The interview went well, but the recruiter replied saying that the position was filled and asked if I was interested in a Software Engineer I position. I quickly said yes, and I was scheduled for four rounds.
The Manager round interview went a little weird, as if he was least interested in interviewing and was not collaborative at all. He didn’t answer my questions nor wanted to listen to my approach. At this time, I knew all the reviews about the company were true.
Overall, I gave my best and answered all questions, including coding, system design, and debugging, but I got a call from the recruiter that they went with another candidate. It was just a waste of time and effort.
