  • Permanent Employees / Senior Employees get salary without any work.

  • Nobody suspects that Permanent Employees / Senior Employees don't know how the architecture is built, how the software was installed, how data is stored across databases, how to train new employees, or which accesses are necessary for particular tasks.

Cons

Permanent employees and reporting managers don't know how to communicate or explain tasks. They always blame contract-based employees for asking questions.

Permanent employees and old employees built all the important data pipelines, but they cannot explain them. There are bugs in many data pipelines, but they won't accept that they made a mistake. They always blame contract-based employees.

Reporting managers say that they care about junior employees or contract-based employees, but they cannot clear doubts, don't take suggestions, and always lie.

Permanent employees and reporting managers always assume that "they are the best" and always live in their ego.

Reporting managers always assume that contract-based employees have to take 100% accountability, but in fact, they themselves don't take any accountability for anything.

There is no employee benefit culture and no growth culture. It is only a toxic culture.

Advice to Management

Please investigate:

  • How qualified are permanent employees and reporting managers in their work?
  • Do they start joining each stand-up call of each team (EDL, EDW, SRE, Merchandising, etc.)?
  • Listen to how permanent employees and reporting managers address contract-based employees' doubts.
  • Check the level of accountability permanent employees and reporting managers take.

There is no work-life balance. Indian employees have to stay awake until a permanent employee replies to a doubt, and the reply isn't worth it.

Start firing old employees before your company goes down. This is serious advice!
