Experiences can vary significantly from team to team, but there was almost no support or guidance for myself as a co-op, which was extremely disappointing. I wasn't assigned a mentor and didn't get one after asking. I was thrown onto projects that clearly didn't align with my skill set with no support, and I didn't feel like I had an opportunity to grow or learn significantly as an engineer.
Ultimately, the turnover is exceptionally high for a reason. The team I was placed on was constantly struggling to meet deadlines, so they rarely had time to answer questions when reaching out.
