I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks.
I had a first screening with the recruiter and then, a technical interview was scheduled. I was told that it was "an interactive coding to explore my technical skills within event driven architecture, realtime systems, and kafka" so I didn't prepare anything, I only brought my experience.
It turned out to be a regular leetcode test with a couple of easy/medium algorithms. I was preparing this type of interview as I had another one days ago with a FAANG (which I passed) and I solved them successfully. The interviewer didn't challenge me to improve the solution or find edge cases though. He looked pretty junior to me.
At the end I asked him about his work there and he didn't look very enthusiastic about it. A couple of days later I received an email saying that they didn't proceed with my candidacy. I asked them about the feedback and they ghosted me.
