Pros: There are great opportunities to prove and improve yourself as a developer. In general, the engineering department is awesome, as it encourages excellence, growth, and a feedback culture that helps me grow professionally. That said, the managers and leaders also understand that we are human, so I find the work-life balance really good (as a software developer).

Cons: There is a mandated one day a week in-office policy, which can be a con for those who prefer remote-only work.

Pros: Open culture. I can schedule a 1:1 with anyone in the company. Fast-growing company in a market niche with room to grow. Strong cloud deployment infrastructure means I can spin up a beta in the cloud for realistic testing. Pleasant office environment. Free food: salad bar Mon-Thu and hot lunch on Fridays. Breakfast every day. And beer on tap. Solid leadership at all levels. Clio Cloud Conference.

Cons: Let's face it, the Ruby on Rails / Angular JS technology stack is not for everyone. Parts of the application are getting old. You are working with legacy code. Legal software doesn't get the pulse racing.

Pros: Very positive work environment. Incredibly smart co-workers. No one feels like they are the smartest person in the room. Really interesting company goals. Never-ending challenges.

Cons: Lots of learning pains as Clio is growing.
