The process was fairly straightforward.
A call with HR, then a call with a senior executive of the company, and then a technical round.
I wasn’t impressed with the call that I had with the senior executive. No respect was shown, and it seemed like the interviewer was deliberately trying to fail me. There was no effort made to make the interview as comfortable as possible, and the “call” was very much one-sided.
I have been present in interviews both as an interviewer and an interviewee. And 90% of these initial calls are about discussing; two-way communication. This was non-existent.
No technical questions were asked either for the assessment (I say this because according to them, they put a lot of focus on people who “get” technology).
Overall, don’t set up the interviewee for failure; you are just wasting your time and the interviewee’s time. Try to show interest.
