As a technologist, it's really important to me that I use my skills to address intrinsic social problems. At Clio, I feel like I can contribute to a mission that helps alleviate suffering and injustice and makes the judicial system more accessible to more people.
And more than that, I feel like I get to work with some really thoughtful, empathetic, and passionate people, which makes coming to work every day and tackling hard problems so much more enjoyable.
The culture is always changing in a healthy direction with every new person we bring on. It is guided by strong, human-centered values that resonate with me, and that makes me feel like I'll be able to operate in a challenging but psychologically safe environment for a long while.
Clio's workforce is globally distributed. That can lead to a lot of communication challenges, but of course, that's true when collaborating globally at any company, so not really a Clio-specific thing.
Decent coding exercise where you are allowed to Google. A system design question, which seems a bit extreme for an entry-level role. They want you to go into a lot of depth, so make sure you can explain every choice you make.
Had a call with the recruiter, and then the second round was technical. One coding interview (LeetCode easy) and system design. Overall, they were friendly. Didn't make it past the technical rounds. Be sure to use time wisely in technical rounds.
First, there was an Online Assessment (very simple and easy), followed by a 30-minute call with a recruiter. The next stage was a one-hour technical interview on an easy LeetCode-style question. Lastly, there was a 30-minute cultural interview.
