Working at Clio, you need to realize quickly that you are not the smartest person in the room. You may have come from another team where you felt pretty confident and that you were the primary source of information.
This is not that place. You are one of many smart team members at various levels throughout the organization.
Outside of a high pace and significant amounts of information, this place truly stands by its human and high-performing values.
In the last 3 months, I have seen the company send everyone home before other companies had made that decision to keep the team safe. We stepped up and answered the call for the New York State Bar to help those in the state who were in need of additional support due to the pandemic.
The company put up $1,000,000 to help law firms through this pandemic and ride out the slowdowns in their business. We donated $100,000 to the Equal Justice Initiative and really doubled down on the stand that it is a place where diversity and inclusion is a core cultural value.
I really feel like the little cog I may be in the wheel makes a difference in changing the practice of law for good.
There are so many different sources for information between the various ticketing, documentation, and messaging systems. Somedays, it feels like information overload, and you have to fight to focus.
There is a, I assume, small but vocal group who took all the energy bars when we were going to work from home and now keep posting that the company owes them lunch at home. I get that the lunches at work were part of our total compensation package, but look at how many other companies have had massive layoffs. Let's try and see the positive, people!
The transparency has really helped me feel at ease through all the craziness in the world right now, and I appreciate the company taking a stand on important social issues. Please keep it up and don't change that.
Decent coding exercise where you are allowed to Google. A system design question, which seems a bit extreme for an entry-level role. They want you to go into a lot of depth, so make sure you can explain every choice you make.
Had a call with the recruiter, and then the second round was technical. One coding interview (LeetCode easy) and system design. Overall, they were friendly. Didn't make it past the technical rounds. Be sure to use time wisely in technical rounds.
First, there was an Online Assessment (very simple and easy), followed by a 30-minute call with a recruiter. The next stage was a one-hour technical interview on an easy LeetCode-style question. Lastly, there was a 30-minute cultural interview.
