Pros

Good company culture.

Extra leaves. Unlimited leaves.

Good WFH support, telework support.

Overtime is compensated in on-call weeks.

Great managers.

Cons

No learning from the existing tech stack makes it hard to progress. The product is an old monolith that is difficult to scale unless redesigned. Increments are poor, sometimes almost non-existent. You solve 20 JIRA tickets in parallel instead of solving meaningful problems or designing systems. There are too many ad hoc tasks and too many releases to track. There is less coding and more management, meetings, and repeated discussions. Everyday burnout is common, even if you work 9-5.

Advice to Management

Decrease the complexity of releases by making the product compatible for multiple cases. Emphasize an engineer's learning and make it more humane. Not everything is to be solved in parallel with five others. Prioritize things that increase Dev efficiency. HIGH TIME.
