A recruiter reached out via LinkedIn. Thus began a process of 11 interviews.

The first few were clearly related to the role – a code interview, a system design interview, etc. Gradually, they became more senior and were more like discussions.

The last interview/meeting was with Matthew Prince, where you are advised to ask one or two short questions and then just listen.

Mid-way through the process, someone spotted I had skills in something they were interested in, and the role I was interviewing for got switched.

I don't know what the point of 11 interviews is. The most I'd had previously was 8 interviews at a company when being considered for two roles. Ironically, none of the senior folks had 2 minutes to talk once I'd taken the job.
