I applied online and the hiring manager reached out to me via email to schedule a 45-minute call through their scheduling software.
I had to email her about 12 minutes into the scheduled time to see if the time still worked for her. She then joined, seeming very apologetic and slightly embarrassed.
We seemed to have good alignment, and I received an email scheduling a second 20-minute interview with an HR employee.
Ten minutes into the scheduled time, I had to email the HR employee, asking if this was still a good time or if something had come up.
She joined the call as it was scheduled to end and proceeded to conduct the interview without even asking me if I still had time. The HR employee indicated they would be moving me forward, but I haven't heard from the company since.
Overall, just incredibly unprofessional and lacking any respect for candidates' time. My advice for the company is to learn about calendar reminders!
Tell me about a project you led.
