I had three rounds of interviews: HR, the hiring manager, and the team. All interactions were mutually impressive and positive. During the last round, I was clearly told, "All the best for the next round." Then, there was radio silence for a few weeks until I reached out to the recruiter for an update. The recruiter responded with a very generic rejection email.
Given that I had invested a lot of time and had positive experiences, I requested specific feedback while being absolutely respectful of the decision made. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any further response.
Some time later, out of curiosity, I reached out to the manager. He sounded very positive about me but mentioned something he couldn't share. In any case, I won’t rate this experience as negative, but I am surprised from a company that preaches "transparency" as one of their values.
