The job application process was weird. I was given an OA link which had 10 questions: 6 ML-based MCQs and 4 coding questions. The coding questions contained 1 CP and 3 ML-based problems where I had to complete helper functions for implementing gradient descent and a decision tree from scratch.
I cleared them and had three sets of interviews in a week: technical, domain, and hiring manager.
However, the interviews were very weird. The first interviewer asked me to implement an API for some query-based system and improve upon it using some constraints. I was not expecting this.
In the second round, I was asked to implement a whole classification problem from scratch in 30 minutes. I don't know what was expected, and the interviewer was intimidating to talk to, which made me nervous. He kept grilling me and caused me to mix up my concepts, confusing me.
After the interview, I was relieved that the hellish round was over. I was certain of getting rejected and received a call the next day about the same.
