The interview process consisted of the following:
I asked everyone I met with about work/life balance, as that seemed to be among the primary feedback given on Glassdoor about Coinbase. The consensus answer was, "It is what you make it. You can work what hours you want, but there are many who work a lot of hours and make a ton of money." This left me feeling uneasy, as if there could almost be an expectation to work longer hours just because everyone else is.
At the end, I was given a timeframe for when to expect a decision (around one week). I ended up not receiving an offer, which was surprising as I solved every technical interview. The recruiter provided feedback on my interview sessions, stating that I had positive energy, good communication, and effectively showcased my technical skills, succeeding in every interview. However, they also said that my technical skills were not at the senior level they were looking for, without providing specific details on what that meant. This feedback was very confusing to hear, as I was essentially told, "You have good technical skills and passed our interviews...but it wasn't good enough."
Everyone was super nice. I just wish there had been more clarity on the expectations during the interview challenges.
