One of the recruiters contacted me, set up an initial conversation, and explained the process. You can take time to prepare if you want to; they are very flexible with scheduling.

The phone screen interviewer was very friendly and patient. They did not waste any time with introductions because my resume had already been shared, which allowed me to jump into the coding part immediately.

The coding question was hard but doable. I had to write three functions.

• Make sure you write test cases as you finish writing a function, and then move on to the next part.
• Also, ensure the interviewer understands what you are trying to do – keep talking.

Design and implement an in-memory file system. It should support three functions:

• Create directory
• Write file
• List directory contents (ls)
