Process

The interview process is pretty much the same as described by other people in posts on Glassdoor. However, I would like to take this opportunity to mention that the recruiting side of Coinbase looked pretty good to me in terms of scheduling interviews.

Unfortunately, the interviewer I had seemed quite unprofessional. They asked the usual File System question everyone is raving about. Even after acing it in 40 minutes, I received a rejection. Such an unprofessional individual conducted the interview.

It is a humble request to a company like Coinbase to focus more on their recruiting process. Either improve their interviewers or decide not to approach other candidates. This was a waste of time.

When the code is perfect and test cases pass in front of the interviewer's eyes, and the interviewee is communicative, then it just boils down to personal preference. It seems like they are conducting interviews to prove a point that they can reject candidates even after they are good at what they do.
