Senior Engineer Interview Experience

Process

Bad experience altogether. Had an initial phone screen with the hiring manager. I was brought in 4 weeks later for an on-site interview. I interviewed with several team members all at once. They basically took turns asking technical questions. I was able to answer all of them, and I got the feeling that they were taken aback at the detailed technical answers I gave them. Also, it did not seem like their processes and procedures were equal to what I was used to at my present company, and they seemed to be embarrassed a little. The manager told me I would hear something in about a week. It's been over a month and nothing from them. Not that it matters, but I wouldn't have accepted their offer if it was given. Their engineers are nowhere near as good as where I am currently working. It would be a step back for me.
