Process

There were a total of 2 rounds and then an HR discussion.

On the first round, there was a brief discussion on every DevOps tool such as Cloud, Scripting (Python), Jenkins, Concur, Terraform, Grafana, Kubernetes, and Docker. A senior manager evaluated my area of expertise on these tools.

The second round went deeper on the same topics for about 1 hour or so. They were expecting complete hands-on skills in all areas.

Questions

What is the use of the terraform validate command?

What is a state file in Terraform, and what should be done if it is deleted accidentally?

What is the difference between a POD and a Container in Kubernetes?

What are the types of modules in Terraform and their uses?

Asked a few Python DSA questions.

Followed by questions on version control, especially Git. This included:

  • The difference between git pull and git fetch
  • How to handle merge conflicts
  • What are staged and unstaged commits
  • The work cycle of code through GitHub
