I applied via LinkedIn for a position in Sunnyvale, CA and was contacted by a recruiter from Comcast.

They asked about my background, roles I'm looking for, visa status, etc., and said that I would be given a coding assignment which I had to complete in 1 hour. This was scheduled for a Saturday morning.

I was expecting the mail from the recruiter, and it took half an hour and a reminder email from my side for them to send the assignment.

I finished it promptly and sent back the assignment with a test case document and instructions to run the project. I dropped an acknowledgment email to the recruiter about finishing my assignment as well.

I waited almost a week and then wrote to them asking for feedback, to which they said they never received my mail! (We were communicating on the same email chain, and they quoted the time of the email on which I sent the assignment too!).

I said I could send the same project again. Again, I did not receive any communication from them. After trying to get them on the phone and sending the project over Gdrive, they said they handed my assignment to the hiring manager.

After a week, I again wrote to them about the feedback/next steps, to which there has been no response from them.

It is very unprofessional, and I cannot think of any reason why my mail was not received, even though the whole communication happened in the same email chain.

Extremely disappointed at the unprofessional recruitment staff from Comcast!
