As a data engineer working through Accenture, I was tasked with DevOps and Data Engineering for a new technology stack that Comcast and Accenture were investigating for possible use. In my role in DevOps, I had the privilege to learn in detail the Comcast security practices, which were without exception best-practice excellent.
As part of my DevOps role at Comcast, I was tasked with allocating resources for the tech stack we were developing. As a seasoned data engineer, I knew what was needed to make the rollout successful. However, the bureaucracy of multiple levels of management approvals made this impossible in the time frame of the project.
Good interview experience. Questions on Spark, Scala, SQL, ETL processes, resume-based questions, and project-based questions. Overall, a good interview experience for the role of Data Engineer at Comcast, interviewing for 2+ years of experience.
Basics of Python, SQL, and AWS, and basic pipeline orchestration concepts. Solved most of the questions. The second round was mostly a managerial round where they asked more regarding my project and previous experience.
Applied online. The recruiter called me to know about my background and salary expectations, and then to schedule an interview with the hiring manager. Had my first round with the hiring manager. He was very rude and unprofessional.
