Comcast is a good product-based company.
Note: Comcast Chennai experience.
Huge discrimination: If you don't know Tamil or Telugu, this company is not for you because almost every important conversation happens in that language, and 95% of employees know Tamil or Telugu.
Work culture is so bad: Firstly, they will hire you with 4 rounds (3 technical rounds and 1 HR) of interviews as Development Engineer 1 as a fresher. After that, they will not provide any relevant training for the task they provide. They expect you to complete it on your own, and your team will not help you understand what you have to do. Everything you have to do by yourself. If you ask your manager or teammates, they will write a mail as a review.
I am not talking about every team, but I felt that most of the time they will give you negative feedback, even if they have not reviewed the task. When asked, they said they wouldn't review.
Worst work culture experience: They will not recognize you even if you have completed your entire task.
Laid off: It is written on many sites that the company doesn't lay off, but they will forcefully tell you to give a personal reason to resign from the company. They will torture you, manipulate you, and make you feel you are not capable of the IT sector as badly as you can think. Even if you don't write it, they will take your laptop and write, 'I want to resign because of my personal reason.'
When I asked them why they are doing so, they tell me, "Because your logic is not clear." This is even after taking 3 technical rounds of interview by the manager, senior development engineers, and 1 HR round of interview. They didn't know they hired someone whose logic is not clear.
Please increase the number of technical interview rounds. Three technical rounds and one HR round with a manager and senior development engineer are not enough for a fresher. Firstly, they hire you and then they give you irrelevant reasons to fire you.
It is very easy, and we can crack it. We should focus on projects and main coding skills to get it very easy and go through.
Walking interview. They had a very swift process and were able to manage a huge footfall in an efficient manner. The registration was done within 10 minutes, the wait time for the interview was less than 30 minutes, and the results for the first roun
Pretty simple, four behavioral questions: Why you want to work here, diversity values, a time you solved a technical problem, and tell about yourself. Very standard and simple process with nice employees.
