Above average pay but less compared to other MNCs.
Good benefits:
Nice office environment.
Used to have nice work-life balance, lately becoming like a service company. I left in April 2023.
Hiring is exclusively based on "where you are from." Sometimes, people like me fall through the cracks (Contractor to Employee). In 4 years, they made sure I had to go out if I wanted to move on to the next level. Some engineers will never go on to the next level because of regional politics. I tried to become a manager but didn't even get a screening. I’m from Maharashtra. 100% of managers and above are from the same ethnicity, which tells you something.
Diversity & Multiculturalism: You won’t achieve this by copying the US office; you need to understand who your "white people" are and hire outside that background.
I hope this culture is not some racial thing in your Chennai office. You were just ignorant. Give a chance and promote/hire from different backgrounds to Managers/Eng5.
If not, at least fill your cracks. Don't hire outsiders as Engineers and waste their 5 years before realizing they don't stand a chance to become managers.
I was asked questions on MongoDB, React, and Node.js. The coding round was based around a React task. The coding round went well. I was not able to answer one MongoDB question and one Node.js question.
There were 3 rounds. Round 1: Technical Video teleconferencing for the technical round. Three to four tech managers were on the call asking questions from your technology background. Round 2: Management A project director will be asking behavioral
Good. It consists of basic questions, but we have to explain them with practical and scenario-based questions. It can be easily cleared if we are good at these questions. Some will have cross-questions.
