The interview process consisted of five rounds:
I completed all five rounds and did not provide an incorrect answer in any single round.
Round 0: Went well -> Hire call
Round 1: The interviewer did not upfront mention part B of the problem. I completed what was presented to me with optimized, clean code. All these points were present in the feedback; no one could say 'no hire' after reading it, but still, they provided 'no hire'.
Round 2: System Design -> Went awesome -> Hire (Strong)
Round 3: Coding -> Went really well -> Strong Hire
Round 4: Manager -> Went really good -> Discussed teams and my role in them: Hire
After one month of not hearing from them, despite me reaching out multiple times, I received the "EXACT" same round feedbacks that I mentioned.
Now, for any sensible company, what should be the final outcome, given it was mentioned that I absolutely "banged" the process?
They came up with "NO HIRE," which is shocking, yes? The same is true for me and the recruiter as well. He mentioned to me that they have done this with multiple candidates, wasting their time and then not hiring.
Asked about your previous work.
