For me, the interviews were all held remotely given the COVID situation. There were fitment assessment, coding, and system design rounds.

Confluent's interview process was the best I have ever seen. The HR kept me informed at all stages about the timelines and expectations. The interviewers were really smart. Questions were carefully chosen and well thought out.

The great thing about these interviews was that it was an exercise in exploring what the interviewer and I could achieve in 45 minutes given a problem. It was nothing like a typical interview where an interviewer would judge you based on a question they had already seen.

I really enjoyed the interview process and kudos to the talent/people team for making it such a delightful experience.

Questions were difficult and not standard LeetCode questions, but you could get them right with strong fundamentals and teamwork with the interviewer.
