Software Engineer Interview Experience - India

Process

The interview process included:

  • HR call
  • 1 phone round
  • Final 5 rounds

Overall, my experience was very poor. Most of the rounds were conducted by individuals who appeared to be right out of college.

The coding rounds were fine, but the design round felt more like a Q&A session with no room for discussion or flexibility. It was a highly rushed process.

Typically, we believe there's no right or wrong answer in such discussions, but here, you only received points if you stated what the interviewer had in mind; otherwise, you received negative feedback.

I feel there is no interview shadowing or training process at Confluent.
