I applied online. The process took one week to get shortlisted, and I had an initial conversation with HR. Komal (HR) was great in introducing herself and outlining the details of the interview process.
For the next round, the technical interview was straightforward – typical questions around Linux, Java, data structures, and system design. However, the interviewer lacked clarity in articulating questions and expected mere textbook answers. They tended to use incorrect terminology, for example, "garbage collector mechanism" versus "garbage collector algorithm."
There was no clear description regarding the system design questions. The interviewer started to argue about SLAs, given a window of only 10 minutes for system design.
I wish the interview had been better articulated, rather than relying on textbook questions.
