Process

First, a basic HR interview to talk about yourself and let you know about the company. Then, a technical assignment. The task was very disappointing.

The task was given as PDF via a HR representative.

It's worth to mention that to this point I haven't met any technical interviewer face 2 face or in an online meeting.

The task was really simple, it reminded me a test in college. Unfortunately, the requirements PDF was very light. The programming language, submission steps and if unit tests should be written weren't mention there.

I managed to solve it and zipped all the files and sent to the contact that emailed it to me.

I got a rejection due to:

  • I didn't use Typescript
  • I didn't create a Github repo for the project.
  • I didn't wrote unit tests.

I've interviewed a lot of companies but this was the most unpleasant one.

TL;DR: Unpleasant interview experience. The interviewer rejected me because I didn't do things I wasn't asked to do. Communication with the technical interviewer via third party (HR representative).
